Services

I am based in Blackheath SE3, work in South East London and the surrounding areas including Kent. I am happy to attend births in Hospitals, birth centers and homebirths.

As a Recognised Doula, I offer the following services:

Birth Package

• I meet with mum to be and her partner two times before the birth. We use this time to  discuss hopes and fears and to discover how you would like your birth to be. Every birth is unique.
• I provide information, research material and lend relevant books. Through this I will encourage you to make choices and informed decisions for your own unique birth.
• I am on call from your 38th to 42nd week when you can contact me at any time.
• I will stay with you throughout your birth and provide a nurturing calming presence, help with breathing and relaxation and provide encouragement and reassurance. I will support your partner and encourage their participation at a level where you are both happy.
• When baby arrives I help with initial bonding and the first feed.  When you are happy and comfortable I will leave you to have new family time.
• I visit soon after to give you the opportunity to talk over the birth and any baby issues.

Postnatal Package

• Every new family has different needs so the exact form of support can vary widely. Usually support is for 6 to 8 weeks after the birth but this can be longer for multiple births or large families.
•  There are many choices in parenting style. I can provide information and support your decisions.
• Help with baby and feeding support.
• Help with older siblings.
• Light housework, laundry and shopping.
• Pet care.
